It’s about becoming more authentically you (and me) and stripping away all of the expectations others placed on us and all of the lies and falsehoods we were raised with in our dysfunctional and violent society.
It’s about living more and more in accord with our values
and practicing grace and kindness towards one another.
The level of violence, cruelty, and unkindness in America will continue until we stop teaching the values of Jesus, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr one day each year in January, and start teaching love, compassion, grace, and non-violence every day of the year – in our houses of worship in every sermon, in our entertainment, in our schools in every grade and in every lesson, and by rejecting ‘entertainment’, politicians, or pundits who normalize violence, or demonize and attack and demean fellow Americans and fellow human beings. We can do better. We can be better.
Love, compassion, kindness & grace is what we need more of.
Remember: Kindness At All Times! Especially when the other party doesn’t deserve it (that’s called Grace!). Also… love one another. Seriously. Be good to yourself and to one another. You never know what someone else is going through. You can make a difference to someone today, even unknowingly.
